Introducing Thiện Chí

Thiện Chí (Goodwill) was first setup as a non-profit, consulting, training organization, promotingrural-development, on 6th May 2004 by the Bình Thuận Planning and InvestmentBureau and has since been transformed into a Vietnamese NGO with its own charter.

We evaluate a community project for a location based on the following criteria:
  1. Poor economic conditions
  2. High level of participation from the local community, partners andgovernment.
  3. Long-term sustainability In addition, if feasible, Thiện Chí will cooperate with the local government to buildlearning centers for disabled children and help create jobs for the poor.
 

Latest news

In April 2009, Thien Chi was very pleased to receive a grant from the prestigious Ford Foundation to build a waste recycling plant in Mang To which is a poor, remote rural commune of Tanh Linh district.

Non-Smoking Day : 31 May 2009

31 May is International Non-Smoking Day. In developing countries, people may be less aware of the damaging effects of smoking and have little or no access to modern medical care.To raise awareness of smoking diseases, this year Thien Chi is organizing a bicycle race in the Ham Thuan Nam district.
