I. Goal
- Help the people to know more about agriculture and livestock,
as well as other topics
- Encourage the people to read more, books and papers
II. How it works
- A group is constituted, of about 30 members
- For a farmers' group which has held at least 3 meetings a library
can be set up
- The library is set up in a central place, easily accessed by
all members
- The program will lent a cupboard (value of approximately 250.000đ)
as well as 50% of the value of the books
- The library will have a receipt system, for each book borrowed
a ticket is issued. In case the book is lost, the borrower must
pay the equivalent amount
- The coordinator will receive a compensation from Thiện Chí of
20.000 đ/month
- On the cupboard it will be written: “ Tủ sách Khuyến Nông Thiện
Chí”.
III. Results:
- As of today there are more than 40 libraries with a membership
of over 1000
- 1500 books have been provided, as well as various papers
- 14.000 times books have been borrowed
Besides, the theatre group comes with a mobile library at least
2 hours before every show, for anyone to enjoy. |
