The goal of the program
is to change the attitude of the pupils in primary schools, towards prevention
an hygiene, and so that they would go for early treatment in case of pain.
The program comprises 4 main parts:

Introduce active pedagogy, training of the teachers,
and provision of adequate text books for both the pupils and the
teachers. |

Teaching the pupils through practice:
every week they brush their teeth and rinse their mouth with fluor.
Eosin is used as a marker to measure oral health. |

Deworming
program: tablets are distributed at cost price (700đ/child /6 months). |

Health festival at school, to
encourage the participation of the parents. Some information is
then given to the parents, there are games and quiz on health issues.
Health staff from the local clinic are invited to join to answer
questions. |

Assistance
is provided to improve the infrastructure of the schools. The children
are encouraged to keep their school clean. |

Libraries in a number of schools.
Co-funded at 50% by the program. They allow the children to read between
classes, on the playground. |

Mobilisation of local solidarity
to show support for the poorest children. The program provides scholarships
to about 2,5% of the children. See document. |
