In April 2009, Thien Chi was very pleased to receive a grant from the prestigious Ford Foundation to build a waste recycling plant in Mang To which is a poor, remote rural commune of Tanh Linh district.
The monthly waste of 50–60 tons is dumped or burned at low temperature. A recycling plant will reduce the pollution (hazardous gas, dioxin, mosquitoes) as well as produce organic fertilizer for the farming community. ThienChi.org |
