Field Visits
Besides the various training provided, field
visits are organized for the farmers to see for themselves, practical
solutions. Model farms have been visited inside or outside the province.

Pilot and Demonstration
Sites
The program helps a few farmers to implement
pilot sites, like for chicken farms, or others for pigs, rabbits
etc. Seminars are organized so that the experiences, positive or
not, can be shared. This is an effective way to disseminate the
best techniques.

Vaccinations
Vaccination programs are run from time to time,
in coioperation with the government Livestock Centre. the para vets
are very useful to assist in this. they are also instrumental in
quickly identifying epidemics in the villages, for prompt action.
Progressively, the farmers become more acquainted to vaccinate their
animals.

Prevention
against Epidemics
In case there is an epidemic, like the bird flu
in 2003, Thiện Chí contributes to take preventive measures, like
spraying in all farms with large flocks. See document.
