The team puts
a lot of energy into training. To maximize the impact and reach
the largest numbers, one must use tools like theatre, games etc.
Training should be as participatory and exciting as possible. There
are 2 theatre groups, composed of local peasants trained on the
spot. They produce over 200 shows a year, each is attended by an
average of 200-300 people. The topics covered are vaccinations,
waste management, family planning, Aids, alcoholism etc. Every year
tens of thousands of people are reached by this program.

Alcoholism, violence in her family... and the girl is improvising
at the theater.
The group of Dúc Linh has set a short show with only 3 actors.
A woman tries to convince her husband to stop drinking, but the
latter becomes very angry, hits her, throws her out of the house...
Volunteers from the public are invited to speak to husband. The
people are watching with passion, the women especially are very
moved, alcoholism is a major problem for them, the victims. Several
times the actors have been beaten by members of the public!
More recently, mime shows have been introduced: short but intense,
they make the public watch very intensely, guessing what the people
do and think: the impact is increased.
