Integrated approach

This is our approach to the poverty reduction program:

Community participation has a number of advantages:

· It preserves the dignity of the community, the people can rightly claim “We did it by ourselves

· It reduces costs by 50-70% in the short term and builds stronger communities who are more proactive in the mid term

· Actions are better designed as the community contributes with a good analysis and appropriate suggestions

· Long term and low cost are also an advantage and flexibility of this approach
